    Community Launch of Visual Studio 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008

    As much as I would like to attend this event, due to other commitments I am unable to.
    Just wondering if by anychance a podcast / other audio / other video of the event will be available to download afterwards?

    Regards

    We've heard that in April Microsoft will be bringing the official launch party Belfast. So this is another chance if you can not make it this week.

    I havn't got any details, but we will be posting htem up as soon as we get them.

    Other than that we should be covering alot of the material in our normal NIMTUG events later in the year.

    I attended the launch event in the Robbison Hotel last night. It was very good event. A lot of information and demos were given. I was quite impressed by the silverlight feature in the the Visual Studio 2008. I am looking forwatd to get the a promotional kit that includes versions of the Windows Server(R) 2008 operating system, Microsoft(R) SQL Server(R) 2008, and Microsoft Visual Studio(R) 2008.

    Really enjoyed the event yesterday.

    Great speakers with some really interesting info and Demo's.

    Particularly liked the expalnation on clustering and the REST demo.

    Cheers to Damian and Smon for all their efforts - much appreciated!

    Members who attended the community launch and have not yet filled in either their address or feedback http://nimtug.org/launch/ only have a couple of days to do so. If this isn't completed you won't get your launch pack.

    For the many who seemed to miss nimtugs community launch there is another chance to get to see presentations and more importantly get the promotional kit;

    Microsoft 2008 Launchwave Event - Belfast - The Waterfront Hall

At this event you will be given an introduction to these three products.

    The morning will kick off with a keynote session, from David Lowe, Senior Product Manager for Windows Server. This session will be followed by presentations on Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008. These presentations will be supported by a large number of demos and local customer examples. Best of all, you will leave with a promotional kit that includes product licenses for Windows Server 2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008.

    Have all the packs been posted out yet?

    I know someone received theirs on Saturday, but perhaps my local postman liked the look of mine.
